If you’re new to the area or have never attended an SDCC Finals, here’s a quick guide to how it all works:
- Get Your Membership – $40 for the first member, $30 for each additional family member, and only $10 for Peewees. Memberships are based on the rider, not the horse—so you can compete on any horse at the jackpot and a different one at the finals if you’d like.
- Qualify – Participate in just one SDCC-sanctioned run (schedule posted on upcoming events tab) to qualify for the finals. You can even use the Friday night run on May 29th as your qualifying run! The Slot Race on the same night also counts.
- Enter the Finals – Compete on as many horses as you want! We offer Youth, Senior, and Adult divisions, plus futurity sidepots. Youth riders can also choose the Youth-only option—though all runs are still with the Open.
- Join Us! – That’s all it takes. Mark your calendar for the 2026 SDCC Finals in Huron, SD – May 29th - 31st.
